iAsk AI is primarily an answering tool that supplies on-demand answers to user queries. It saves the trouble of browsing through multiple sites and lengthy texts for information. There are additional features like image generation, text summary, and document analysis.
Main Features
1. Answering AI
iAsk AI provides factual information on any given topic. The tool promises accurate, updated responses that reflect the changes in reality. To test this, I tasked the tool with areas that AI models typically struggle to get right. This includes historical dates, legal information, health, science, and current events.
I first quizzed iAsk AI with the question: “When was the printing press invented? “

A cross-check with third-party sources established that iAsk AI did provide a factually correct answer. Plus, iAsk AI attaches a list of authoritative references for individual fact-checking.

Like a regular chatbot, iAsk AI also allows for follow-up questions in addition to its extensive answers.
Next was a question on health-related topics, an area many AI tools fall short. I decided to pose a query on a substitute for table salt, in light of a recent case that saw a 60-year-old man being put in the hospital following dietary advice from ChatGPT.

iAsk AI gave a substitute, potassium chloride, which has been reported safe by third-party sources. Still, I wanted to test iAsk AI’s accuracy and seriousness around health matters, so I further asked if the culprit in the case, sodium bromide, is safe.

iAsk AI was firm in affirming that sodium bromide is not a safe substitute for table salt (sodium chloride). It also gave a list of reasons that highly discourage its consumption.
2. Writer

iAsk AI provides a decent list of writing services that spans blog writing, essays, creative writing, and formal forms like academic writing. If you select a starting point, iAsk AI will guide you along by requesting a topic, giving a selection of angles, creating an outline, and fleshing out the content section by section.

It provides a lot of flexibility by encouraging user input and edits as it goes.
3. Document Analyzer
The document analyzer exists to make sense of long, complex texts without the need to read everything word for word. The AI scans through dense content and picks out the main points, arguments, and supporting details.
It then culminates all these into a simple summary for easy review. The analyzer also functions as an interaction tool that caters to queries for an even deeper dive into the document.
4. AI Companion
iAsk AI adds an unusual element to the mix with digital companionship. The AI companions create ongoing, human-like conversations that can serve a number of purposes. They can share thoughts, talk through ideas, and build a friendship by maintaining consistency across chat sessions.
5. Ask 5AIs
iAsk AI takes its commitment to accuracy further by giving users a chance to ask five top AI models the same question. It then presents the responses side by side. From this presentation, users can compare viewpoints, catch inaccuracies, and sift important information.
The Ask 5AIs feature is a great way to maximize the strengths of the best AI models and reduce hallucinations without hopping between multiple tools. It also encourages critical thinking through exposure to different approaches to the same question.
6. AI Summarizer
This is a feature that pulls out the key points and insights from both documents or URLs. iAsk AI allows the user to dictate how concise or how extensive the summary is by providing options labeled with the number of required bullet points.
I tested this feature by providing iAsk AI with a URL to a news article and selecting 15 bullet points. The tool did a good job of extracting highlights.

I wanted a more holistic view of its summary feature. Therefore, I decided to summarize the same content but with fewer (5) bullet points. Here was the result:

I noted that the summary was a more condensed, less fluffy version of the first. It still bore all the core information, but trimmed around the edges.
7. Grammar Checker
iAsk AI has an in-built grammar tool that promises to pick out errors and poorly constructed sentences. The user can select the writing tone (conversational, semi-formal, and formal).
I pasted a piece of text with errors and poor wording.

The result:

iAsk AI did a fine job of correcting errors and reconstructing entire sentences to produce more coherent text.
When I set the grammar checker to ‘formal’, I noted that the AI used more upper-handed phrasing like “The launch aims to address…” and “This is analogous to a person skimming…”
6. Brainstorm
The brainstorming feature generates ideas with a selected tone, audience, and format. The main benefit is the speed and variety of ideas that stem from a simple text prompt. The ideas are often structured and can be refined with follow-up questions.
This brainstorming feature is synced with the document feature for a smooth transition from ideation to execution. After settling on an idea, you can ask the assistant to outline it, expand it into a draft, or polish it into finished content.
