1. Text To Video Generator

Pictory’s text-to-video feature turns written content into engaging videos. 

You paste your text or URL, and the AI creates eye-catching visuals, stock footage, background music, and captions. 

It’s a quick route for bloggers, marketers, or educators to repurpose written content into formats that work on YouTube, Instagram, or LinkedIn.

Using Pictory AI’s text-to-video generator can be as hands-off or as hands-on as you want. In the following use case, I pasted a simple script into the video generator. Pictory automatically turned on settings that created new scenes based on new sentences and line breaks. 

It was also set to automatically create visuals with AI. These settings could, however, be turned off, and the parameters manually modified for better granular control. 

I selected a chic template to go with the script and clicked ‘Generate.’

The resulting video was satisfactory. Pictory divided the script into logical scenes and added relevant stock clips that matched the points in the script. The captions were accurate, and the scenes were well-timed, not a second too early or too late.   

2. AI Video Editor  

Traditional editing tools can be intimidating, with endless layers. 

Pictory’s AI video editor makes it easier. You can trim, cut, and rearrange scenes simply by editing the text transcript. 

For example, if you delete a sentence from the transcript, the matching part of the video is removed automatically. 

It can save hours of manual editing or simply allow creators to create short clips from long videos easily.

The caveat to this is that videos without a voice-over can’t be edited this way. I tried to edit the video I made earlier, but after processing, there was no transcript to base my edits on. 

For manual cuts to the actual scenes, I’d have to rely on another tool.  I could, however, still make edits to the aspect ratio, branding elements, subtitles, and video style. My major concern here was the aspect ratio, which cut out parts of the video frame once I modified it.
