Whop, the technology company behind a platform for creating and running businesses online, announced the launch of Economic Intelligence, a new layer that tells each business the highest-return action to take next and executes it on the owner’s behalf when accepted.

In the US, 65% of aspiring entrepreneurs use AI to launch a business and 46% of business owners use AI to run one.

Whop’s position is that most of that AI delivers the same generic guidance to every business, because a general model has no insight into what is working, in real time, for comparable businesses. Economic Intelligence is designed to close that gap.

Whop-Owned Context, Agentic Execution

Economic Intelligence is Whop-owned context. It reflects what successful businesses do at every stage of the journey across every vertical on the Whop network, from precious metals sellers to in-person dog trainers and thousands of other niches.

Whop draws a firm distinction between that context and the agent that acts on it. In the company’s words, models are commoditized now, and your agent is just an execution layer guided by Economic Intelligence.

“Whop has economic data from business across sectors, and in a world where models are all commoditized, we can marry agentic actions with this data to unlock value for many people building businesses,” said Ishan Garg, Head of Engineering at Whop.

Recommended Actions on the Dashboard

Businesses access Economic Intelligence through recommended actions. A “Recommended for you” section now appears on the homepage of every Whop business, directly below the balance. Hovering over an action displays its projected value, and an action history shows the returns generated by previous actions.

Clicking a recommended action drops it into Whop AI Chat, which asks clarifying questions only where required, such as a product name, and begins executing immediately.

Once an owner accepts a recommendation, Whop can carry it out agentically with minimal input.

Actions Spanning Acquisition, Pricing and Retention

For existing businesses, recommended actions include optimizing the website and funnel with Whop Blueprints, adjusting product pricing, launching high-ROAS ad campaigns through Whop Ads, recovering abandoned carts, reducing churn through automatic retargeting, and granular tasks such as creating a recurring weekly DM for top customers.

For new businesses, Economic Intelligence can recommend which business to build and construct the website for it. Every action shares one objective, which is to reduce the time to the next dollar earned.

Developers can also call Economic Intelligence through an API endpoint, offered as a perk for teams building on the Whop platform.

Beta Results

Whop measured approximate results across a sample of 14,905 businesses using Economic Intelligence for one month, compared with the month before. Combined sales grew 31.8%, unique paying customers grew 26.3%, and transactions grew 26.5%.

Across the businesses where Economic Intelligence has been rolled out, the average time from clicking a recommended action to earning an incremental dollar has dropped 54%, to 12 hours.

Building the End-to-End API for Running a Business

The launch advances Whop’s mission to deliver everyone a sustainable income. The company is building the first end-to-end API for running a business, handling money movement, customer acquisition and the mobilization of an on-demand workforce.

The Whop CLI, released in August, already allows a business to be run programmatically, and Whop’s partnership with SpaceXAI brings that capability into Grok and Cursor. Economic Intelligence is the next layer, converting data-driven insight into the specific move that grows a business faster.

Whop describes the result as a system that proactively surfaces the next revenue move, like a hire who knows the whole business, built in. Businesses can join the waitlist from the whop.com dashboard. The full announcement is available on the Whop blog.
