1. AI Humanizer

This is Phrasly AI’s core feature. This will transform AI-generated text into human-like text, like something an actual human would write. T

his mechanism is extensive: Phrasly AI doesn’t settle for a mere synonym swap and grammar correction; it analyzes the structure, flow, and tone of the AI text. 

Then, it rephrases it in a way that mimics human reasoning and expression. The output ends up being authentic and unique, with an element of randomness of human writing patterns. Phrasly AI also transforms text without compromising standards. 

2. AI Writer (Content Generator)

Aside from being a humanizer, Phrasly AI has an AI Writer. The writer’s abilities exceed basic content generation. It can apply itself to long-form content (blog posts and essays) effectively. The content also comes with citations for referencing purposes. This can come in handy in academic settings. 

Phrasly AI allows you to select different writing tones (formal, casual, persuasive, or informative, depending on the target audience or platform.) It also allows you to indicate a writing style for content that feels tailored and specific. 

There are additional options, too. You can edit as you go, expand or shorten sections of text. You can even ask the AI writer to re-generate paragraphs till you’re satisfied. 

3. AI Detector

Phrasly AI has its own AI detector with a 99.8% accuracy rate.

Do note that this is a self-reported claim; Phrasly AI hasn’t produced any benchmark results to assert this. After running a piece of text through its AI detector, Phrasly AI will give a confidence score and will highlight areas that may still feel “AI-like”. 

However, if you possess doubts about this feature, you can double and triple-check AI text using other detectors.  

4. Export Options

After humanizing text and running it through a detector, Phrasly AI allows you to extract the text in many formats. The export options are Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or PDF format. 

These options take out the arduous task of repetitive copying and pasting, and addressing formatting issues. The format options show the diversity of the audience Phrasly AI caters to: PDFs for professionals, Word files for students, and Google Docs for teams. 

5. Developer API

Phrasly AI provides developers with an API that lets them incorporate Phrasly’s core functions directly into their own apps, platforms, or internal tools. 

The API follows Representational State Transfer (REST) standards. This means Phrasly AI is easy to work with and compatible with most programming languages and web development frameworks. 

A Phrasly AI API integration lets businesses automate the humanization or generation of content at scale. They can also plug the AI Detector into the editorial workflow or build custom dashboards that use Phrasly’s AI abilities.

There are many benefits to be earned. A company’s CMS could automatically clean up AI-written drafts or even scan for originality before a content piece goes live. 

Using Phrasly AI

Exploring the AI Humanizer and AI Detector

I decided to generate a poem using ChatGPT and input it into the tool. I chose a poem because poems have an emotional, human-like nature. 

To be sure of the poem’s AI-generated nature, I ran it through an AI detector, Quillbot. And sure enough, the result showed “100% AI generated.”

After asserting that its AI-generated text, I pasted the poem into Phrasly’s AI humanizer, and this is what I got: 

At first glance, the poem looked the same to me. Nothing changed. But to be sure, I decided to run it by Quillbot to confirm my suspicion. And I was proven right. 

However, the third-party AI checkers in Phrasly AI declared the poem as “human-written.”

Then, I decided to generate an academic essay with ChatGPT, hoping that the strict structure of the poem was what stifled Phrasly’s AI humanizing effect. 

I ran the ChatGPT-generated essay through Quillbot. As expected, it reported the essay as 100% AI-generated. 

I ran it through Phrasly AI’s humanizer, and here were the results

The ensuite AI checkers proclaimed the Humanized text as completely human-written.

But results from Quillbot showed 27% generated by AI. 

Verdict: 

• Phrasly’s AI humanizer works, but not for strictly-structured texts like poems. 
• I didn’t find the third-party AI detectors in Phrasly very reliable. 

Exploring the Content Generator 

I decided to use the AI writer to generate an essay on “the impact of the coronavirus.” I was first led to create an outline by specifying the details of the essay, like the scope, word length, and topics. 

The results were quite impressive. The essay had solid points, supported with facts and figures.
