LinkedIn has introduced a new AI feature that allows users to describe their ideal role in natural language. The system then returns job listings that match the request.
For example, users can type phrases like “Show me entry-level marketing roles in fashion” or “Jobs for analysts who care about climate change.” The AI understands and delivers tailored results.
This approach offers more flexibility, and instead of choosing fixed roles, industries, or locations, users can simply express their goals.

How the AI Tool Works
LinkedIn’s new feature uses generative AI and will read your search like a conversation. Then, it pulls relevant listings based on what you want. not just what you click.
Here are the benefits:
- Natural language support: Write job requests in your own words.
- More precise filtering: Get results aligned with your skills and interests.
- Faster discovery: Avoid endless scrolling through irrelevant jobs.
Available Now for Premium Users
LinkedIn rolled out this AI tool on May 7, 2025. It is now available to all Premium members who use English. However, it will be available to other LinkedIn users (with English settings) at the end of the week.
A Statement from LinkedIn
Zara Easton, LinkedIn’s career expert, said the AI tool reflects how work is changing.
“AI is changing the way we work,” she said in a press release. “Job search on LinkedIn will completely change the way people find their next opportunity.”
She added that the tool helps connect people with roles that match their skills, interests, and goals. It may also inspire career changes by highlighting new opportunities.
