Yes, Swooped is a legitimate platform. It holds 83 reviews on Trustpilot as of early 2026, with most ratings falling in the 4–5 star range.

Over 600,000 job seekers have used the platform according to Swooped’s own reporting.

The company responds to reviews publicly, offers a 7-day refund policy, and its free plan doesn’t require a credit card.

That said, “legit” and “effective” are different questions.

Swooped won’t guarantee you a job. The AI produces strong first drafts of resumes and cover letters, but I found that every output needed 15–20 minutes of manual editing before I’d feel comfortable submitting it.

The networking feature suggests contacts and generates outreach templates but it doesn’t send messages for you or guarantee responses. If you go in expecting a tool that accelerates your process rather than a magic button, Swooped delivers on that promise.

I tested this with a senior marketing manager job description.

Both times, the AI correctly identified the priority skills from the posting and rearranged my experience to lead with matching qualifications. 

The keyword insertion felt natural, not stuffed, though two of the bullet points used phrasing I’d never actually say out loud, so I rewrote those.

2. AI Cover Letter Generator

You feed it the job description plus your resume, and it produces a personalized cover letter in about 20 seconds.
