Sissie Hsaio played a key role in Google’s AI efforts. She helped launch Gemini, formerly called Bard. Now, she’s stepping down from her role.
Google DeepMind CEO, Demis Hassabis, confirmed the news. In a memo, he said this change will help “sharpen our focus on the next evolution of the Gemini app.” Google spokesperson Alex Joseph also confirmed the report but gave no further details.
Hsaio has been with Google since 2006. She will take a short break before moving into a new position at the company. Her next role is still unknown.
