OpenAI has confirmed that Denise Dresser, the CEO of Slack, will join as its new Chief Revenue Officer.
Dresser steps into the role after more than 14 years at Salesforce, the parent company of Slack.
She held several senior positions there and later led Slack through a period of rapid change.
While at Slack, she also oversaw the launch of several AI features designed to improve workplace collaboration.
Now she brings that experience to OpenAI. In her new role, she will guide the companyās enterprise revenue strategy and lead customer success efforts.
These responsibilities are essential as OpenAI works toward long-term financial stability.

OpenAIās Challenge
OpenAI faces difficulty in proving that it can build a profitable business around its technology. Dresserās appointment reflects this need for stronger revenue leadership.
Fidji Simo, OpenAIās CEO of Applications, praised Dresserās track record. She said that OpenAI aims to bring AI tools to millions of workers in every industry.
She also noted that Dresser has guided similar shifts before and will help the company make AI more useful and reliable for businesses.
Simo herself joined OpenAI earlier this year after serving as CEO of Instacart, a company that has become a close partner of OpenAI.
Slackās Leadership
Dresserās departure has triggered a leadership change at Slack.
According to Wired, Rob Seaman, Slackās Chief Product Officer, will serve as interim CEO. Salesforce will continue to oversee Slackās direction.
